FAQs (aka Policies and such)

What if I'm late?
Time is valuable to everyone. Your session time begins at your appointment time, even if you are not on site yet. Please be considerate and arrive a few minutes early so that we can begin your session on time. If you are running behind, kindly give me a call to alert me of the situation. Extensions will be granted at the sole discretion of the photographer.

What about payment, deposits and cancellations?
Forms of payment accepted: Paypal, Google checkout, money order, cash, cashier's check.

Deposits: Sessions may require a non-refundable deposit** to reserve your session slot.

Cancellations: Kindly give at least 12 hour notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a shoot.

**If you cancel 5 days or more before a session, any deposit will be refunded.

If there is an unforeseen circumstance and I cannot keep our appointment, you will be given the choice to have your session with another photographer, reschedule or receive a refund of your deposit. If you choose to meet with a different photographer or reschedule you will be given a bonus in your package.

What should I wear?
Show your style!
Groups should coordinate though. For example everyone in dressy clothes or everyone in casual clothes. Try to pull one color from each outfit to use in the others, for example use the blue from Dad's shirt in Mom's scarf and Little Jim's hat and use the yellow from Julie's dress in Mom's shoes.

When photographing babies (0-6 months) we will want to see those cute tummies and rolls so be ready to go from clothes to diaper or less. If you are not comfortable with your little one showing off his bare skin, please let me know when we begin the shoot or before.

Kindly do not ask me to take revealing photos of you. I am willing to take baby-bump shots and breastfeeding shots, but boudoir is not my genre.

How many people can I have in my session?
As long as we can fit the group in the frame, you may include as many friends and family as you wish! Be sure to let us know if you are looking for a lot of shots of a certain group of people. Please me mindful that individual portraits are best done when groups are small (mom, dad and kids, for example) and may not be possible with large groups.

Can I bring Props?
YES! Please do! Bring that special skateboard, hat, instrument, jersey, blanket, jeep, whatever you would like to make the portraits show your personality. (No weapons please unless you are law enforcement)

Can I pick my own poses?
I have my own style that will show through in your session, but if you have an idea for a shot PLEASE let me know. These are your portraits and you should be happy with them. A mix of your ideas and mine will provide the best selection of shots to choose from.
